pekin-family-evening-borneo-march-20081My name is Amanda Pekin. I grew up in Tatura Victoria in Australia. I am currently Program Leader for Elementary Physical Education at the International School Manila Philippines. My husband is the Athletic Director at the same school. I have been teaching across the K-12 curriculum in Physical Education, Biology and Science for the past 15 years. I previously taught at International Schools in Japan and Thailand and a variety of schools in my home country Australia. I also worked outside of teaching in a wide variety of jobs over 10 years as I traveled and followed the ski seasons in Australia, Japan, Europe, New Zealand and Canada. ………..my illustrious career choices during this time included fruit picking, cannery worker, relief teacher, ski instructor, waitress, bar staff, cleaner, nanny, receptionist, guest services, ski instructor, employee services, aerobics instructor and ski bum………….. I am now married with two children and happily setttled in the Philippines……….for now. I still call Australia home!
